'We would like to introduce to the readers of World Wide News, one of our Canadian girls working with Commercial Life Assurance Company of Canada. Rae Mullin was born on the farm that you see pictured and this is a long time family homestead as it was also the birthplace of her mother. In fact, it has been in the family for over 100 years now and last year received a Centennial plaque to commemorate the family residence and ownership of the farm for over a century. The farm is located near a small town known as Acton, Ontario which is about 45 miles west of Toronto. As the farm is still being run by her sister and her husband, Rae likes to go up there and spend some time on the week ends. Rae took her schooling in the

town of Acton and when completed joined one of the local companies, a textile firm making childrens’ wear, and spent some years employed with this firm in a variety of capa-cities ( capacities ) in the office. When she moved to Toronto, she became employed with a Life Insurance company and after starting out in the Agents’ Training Department she moved on to become Agency Secretary and also spent some years in the Systems and Methods Department where she was involved in training branch secretary js and visiting the branches. At the time she joined our Company, Mr. A F. M. Pronk was the Managing Director of I >e Commercial Life Assurance Company and ie
announced the appointment of Rae as Agency Registrar, a capacity which she has continued to fulfill in a most capable manner for more than eight years now. Rae corresponds and looks after all licencing matters with the ten Provincial Governments we must deal with in Canada. Various records, sjch as group coverages and premiums to be collected are looked after by her as well as supervising all our Agency Department fi ing. With her complete background knowl-edge ( knowledge ) of the Agency operation, she is able t( assist on many projects and problems that csme up through each year. Whenever possible, she spares a few minutes tc use her ‘green thumb’ to keep our various o flee plants in good order.
While Rae does get a bit of time in for relaxation and watch her favourite hockey team on T.V. or play some records, she is also very active in visiting a number of friends who are hospitalized or who can use some assistance.
