History
The Committee for Special Jewish Interests was founded on 21 March 1933 (eleven days before the so called "Juden-Boykott" proclamation in Germany) with the main goal of looking after the Jewish interests in the Netherlands. On behalf of the large number of Jewish refugees that would soon cross the German-Dutch border they established the subdivision the Committee for Jewish Refugees. The most important leaders of the Committee for Special Jewish Interests were prof. dr. D. Cohen and A. Asscher.
